There’s several great places around campus to “Say Cheese.” Here are some of our favorites.
The classic place to take the ultimate UMHB photo is on the UMHB letters. Whether you’re by yourself or with a group, this is the perfect backdrop for most occasions.
"Well y'all, it's been real. Thanks for having me this week; I've taken more selfies in the last seven days than I ever have before, but I survived. I hope y'all got some idea of what UMHB life looks like through my eyes! In the end, life is hard—the rumors are true—but UMHB makes it better in a lot of ways, and I'm more than glad to be here. For a mixture of ridiculous, photographic, life-relevant, life-irrelevant, and sometimes pointless posts, feel free to follow me @ttttrrrriiiissssttttyyyynnnn with no obligation. Thanks guys, peace!" @ttttrrrriiiissssttttyyyynnnn

There’s a great mural on the supports of the Loop 121 bridge across from the SportsPlex. If you’re looking for something a little more “edgy” than the boring old letters, this might be your spot.
"Hey there! I'm Steph, and this week I will be taking over the Instagram account! I am so thrilled for this opportunity to give you a glimpse into my experiences at UMHB! This week you'll adventure through Homecoming festivities with me, peer behind the scenes of Stunt Night, and get to see a little bit of my life as a Crusader!" @stephasito Stephanie is a senior, studying Psychology and Mathematics from Dallas, Texas.
"Hey y'all! My name is Zasmyne Robinson, and its my turn to take over the UMHB account. If there's one thing I share with new friends right off the bat, it's this: I love my school. I'm super excited for you guys to see campus through my eyes, from one CRUsader to another!" Zasmyne is a junior social work major from Houston. She goes by @zazizzlee_ on Instagram.
Isabelle Rutherford Meyer Nursing Education Building
Yes, it is just a building, but it is a B-E-A-UTIFUL one, and it’s a great backdrop for photos. Like a caring mother, the building embraces the courtyard and provides a stunning visual… especially when the subject is wearing contrasting purple scrubs.
“Nursing school is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but it’s been beautiful at the same time. I say that because family is beautiful, and that’s what I’ve found here. I’ve received the sweetest family that has chosen to laugh, cry, stay up way too late so we can pass our tests, and then when we do, we celebrate hard together. 🎂🍰🎂 These girls beside me have taught me how to celebrate even the smallest victories. This school is filled with the greatest humans who make it so hard to leave.” @one4thebrookes
It’s difficult to find a more beautiful purple backdrop for any of your UMHB photos. It’s a great place to “say cheese!”

"A little bit of a #TBT to my first family weekend here at UMHB. Although UMHB has blessed me with friends and a home away from home here in Belton, I don't know what I did to deserve the family that I have. I have the most loving and supporting family out there! If you are reading this, take time out of your day to call your parents and tell them you love them! (Your mom misses you.) Hope y'all all had a great #TharpThursday" @anthonytharp
I know this one is in a different city. But, if you make the trip to Independence, make sure to throw the C proudly in front of the columns. Don’t let the north campus claim this one as their own!
Yes, we know that it’s a monument to a burned down building, but it sure does look great on photos. We fully approve of this backdrop!
"Hey! My name is Brittany Read, and I have the privilege of taking over the account this week! Today, being the first day of November, I would just like to start off by saying how thankful I am to attend a school that gives me so many opportunities to build community, grow as a leader and cultivate my relationship with Christ, surrounded by faculty and staff who encourage me every step of the way. I am excited to share the many reasons I am thankful for my school!" @readbrittany.singforhim Brittany is a junior music major from Snyder, Texas.
These letters only make an appearance at CruCamp, but they definitely make for a great photo. Like they say at Olive Garden, “when you’re here, you’re family.”

Growing up my momma always told me whatever I do in life, to always be humble and kind. I’ve had ups and downs but she always made sure I kept my faith strong ❤️. Glad to get to call umhb home, and have the chance to grow an even stronger relationship with Christ 🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/3Iueaqm66H
